Rapid Unscheduled Disillusionment

Noch mehr als im Fall der rechenschwachen Kapitalisten verbietet sich Schadenfreude gegenüber Trumps enttäuschter Wählerbasis:

A month after Trump’s inauguration, the honeymoon is over; some of his backers are waking up next to the man they voted for and wondering if they’ve made a terrible mistake. With every policy he implements and offhand remark he makes, Trump is falsifying the imaginary versions of himself that inspired many of his supporters.

Again and again, the fantasies that fueled Trump’s candidacy are colliding with the reality of his presidency, and the result is already dispelling the illusions of many who advocated for him.

Nicht nur beim Abbau des Rechtsstaates und dem Aufbau der Gedankenpolizei, sondern auch bei der Desillusionierung von Wählerinnen legt der Trumpismus seit November 2024 ein enormes Tempo vor und vermittelt nach volkswirtschaftlichen Grundkenntnissen der US-Bevölkerung ein besseres Verständnis ihres Staatswesens:

So many people who were excited that all of the people freeloading off of the government would be kicked out are finding out that it includes them.

It goes to show how little people understand about how their world works.

Unter einem pädagogisch so ambitionierten Präsidenten ist ein separates Bildungsministerium natürlich überflüssig.
